The government has added eight days to lockdown. The meeting of the Council of Ministers, which ended on Monday afternoon, has decided to extend the lockdown by Baishakh-3.
The lockdown period is added a second time. The government decided to extend a lockdown for the coronavirus (COVID-19), the second infectious disease, from Chaitra 11 to Chaitra 18.
That period was added until the 25th Chaitra before the end of a particular lockdown. However, during this period, the corona transition was found at the local level, the government had tightened the transit from one local level to another.
In addition, a meeting of the High-Level Committee on Corona Prevention Sunday recommended the lockdown period be extended.
At a cabinet meeting in Baluwatar, Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli also stressed that the lockdown should be strictly followed. “The emphasis was on speeding up the rapid test with lockdown,” said a minister.
According to sources, Prime Minister Oli is scheduled to address the countrymen tomorrow.
